Binance Referral Code: How It Works, Who Can Use It and What to Check

Data checked on November 3, 2026 · 3 min read

A Binance referral code links your new account to the person who invited you. When you sign up through a referral link, the code is filled in for you. The person who invited you earns a share of the trading fees you pay, and Binance may offer you sign-up rewards of its own.

What you get as a new user

On the day this was checked, Binance's sign-up page through a referral link advertised "up to 100 USD" in sign-up rewards. Binance's referral terms describe this as a trading fee rebate for verified users. The exact tasks and amounts appear in your account after you sign up and finish identity verification, and they can change, so read them there before you trade.

In Binance's Referral Pro mode, the person who invited you can also choose to share part of their commission with you. Binance's FAQ says the referee receives that rebate only "if the referrer chooses to share it". To be clear: the link on this page does not share any commission with you (0% rebate). You get only the sign-up rewards Binance itself offers, and your trading fees are the same as signing up without a code.

Use it when you sign up

Binance's referral FAQ says a referral relationship cannot be changed or removed once it is set. If you forget the code, you can only add it later if you meet all of Binance's conditions, such as being within 30 days of registration with no deposit or trading yet. For futures, you have to register through the referral code or link. The safest way is to check the code is there before you finish creating the account.

Binance also requires identity verification before referral benefits apply. Opening a new account after deleting an old one just to get referral rewards can cost you those rewards.

Who cannot use it

Countries where Binance does not offer accounts. Binance's list of prohibited countries (updated January 5, 2026) includes the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Countries excluded from the referral program. Binance's referral terms (updated September 22, 2026) also exclude, or remove commissions for, users in:

If you live in one of these places, a referral code will not do anything for you. Use only what is legal where you live.

What Binance's fees cost

At Binance's standard rates for a regular user (0.10% on spot, 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker on USDⓈ-M futures, from Binance's fee schedule on November 3, 2026):

Trading volumeSpot feesFutures taker fees
$1,000about $1.00about $0.50
$10,000about $10.00about $5.00

Do not trade more than you planned just to unlock a reward: price moves can cost far more than any rebate.

Compare before you choose

Binance's standard futures taker fee of 0.05% is the same as OKX and lower than Bybit (0.055%) and Bitget (0.06%). You can compare them with your own numbers in the exchange fee calculator, and see today's funding rates side by side in the funding rate comparison.

If Binance and its referral program are available in your country and you can use them legally where you live, you can open a Binance account here. The referral code is applied automatically through the link.
