A Bybit referral code links your new account to the person who invited you. If you sign up with it and complete Bybit's trading tasks, you and the person who invited you can both receive rewards. When you use a referral link, the code is filled in for you.
Use it when you sign up
Bybit's referral FAQ says that if a new user forgets to use the referral code or link, they will not be recognized as a referee. There is no way to add it afterwards, so make sure it is there before you finish creating the account.
The three tasks and rewards
For referees who register on or after October 10, 2026, Bybit's referral FAQ lists three tasks. When the referee completes each one, both the referee and the referrer receive the reward:
| Task | What the new user has to do | Reward for each |
|---|---|---|
| First trade | A first trade of at least $50 within 14 days of signing up | 50 USDT |
| More trades | At least $500 of trading volume within 30 days after the first trade | 100 USDT |
| Advanced trades | At least $10,000 of trading volume within 30 days after the first trade | 100 USDT |
Together, the two of you can earn up to 500 USDT. Bybit applies a 3-day risk review before crediting rewards, and once credited they must be claimed within 10 days or they expire. Zero-fee trading pairs do not count toward volume. Read the reward terms when you claim them, since campaign rewards can come with their own conditions.
What the volume targets cost in fees
At Bybit's standard rates for a regular user (0.10% on spot, 0.055% taker on perpetual futures, from Bybit's fee pages on November 3, 2026):
| Volume target | Spot fees | Futures taker fees |
|---|---|---|
| $500 | about $0.50 | about $0.28 |
| $10,000 | about $10.00 | about $5.50 |
The first two tasks are cheap to reach if you were going to trade anyway. Do not trade more than you planned just to hit a target: price moves can cost far more than the reward.
Who can use it
Bybit's referral program on its global site is for users of Bybit Global, and Bybit says region-specific programs may differ. Bybit does not offer services in a number of excluded jurisdictions, including the United States, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada and several others. Check the full list before you sign up.
Compare before you choose
Bybit's standard futures taker fee is 0.055%, between Binance and OKX (0.05%) and Bitget (0.06%). You can compare all of them with your own numbers in the exchange fee calculator.
